ONLY two weeks after being launched, our new supporters’ group, YEDS, is going from strength to strength. almost on a daily basis.
Social media numbers on Facebook and Twitter are growing rapidly; the group has hit 100 members on its new website; and Barton Cleaning Services of Warrington, one of Oldham RLFC vice chairman John Roddy’s companies, is on board as YEDS chief sponsor.
“We’ve not taken long to hit a few milestones and that’s brilliant,”
said Jamie Hollingworth, (26), who is running YEDS with three others — his brother Kristian (19), John Davies and Sam Doyle.
Barton operations manager Brendan Walsh said:
“I am very aware of the hard work going on behind the scenes at Oldham this year and we are delighted at Barton Direct to become an official sponsor of YEDS.
“We are committed to making all company purchases, wherever possible, through YEDS, at Easy Giving.”

“We are growing in strength and, hopefully, with the incentives on offer until December 17 (winning a season ticket or a signed shirt), we can get a few more paid-up members and grow even further. The money raised so far will help us to support the parent club from day one.
