Don't forget Thursday's launch

AN amazing transformation has taken place at the club since the end of last season.

It is easy to forget that a few short months ago things didn’t look too good for those who were unaware what was going on in the background.

Now, we are on the threshold of a new start with a new vice-chairman in John Roddy, a squad of 26 that includes mainly new players, a new coach in Stuart Littler, a new Supporters’ Group in YEDS, a return to Oldham after two years out at Stalybridge and a new optimism that’s flowing through the club as the 2022 season draws nearer by the day.

It all comes together on Thursday night (January 20) at 8pm at the Oldham Event Centre when we hold a FREE open night for fans and players alike.

The players and coaches, Stuart Littler and Brendan Sheridan will be there after training for the 8pm start and they will present the players with their squad numbers before introducing them and giving a run-down on how pre-season training has gone over the last three months or so.

Vice-chairman Roddy has taken to social media to urge fans to turn up in force.

He Tweeted:

The bar will be open, there’s a massive car park outside the Event Centre and we can look forward to a great night that will set the scene for the new season and our first pre-season friendly against Wakefield Trinity at the Vestacare Stadium two nights later on Saturday, January 22, kick-off 6pm.

A week later, over the weekend of January 29/30 (exact details to follow soon) we will be at home again to Lock Lane of Castleford in the second round of the Betfred Challenge Cup.

We launch the season Thursday at 8pm — an event to whet the appetite and to get everyone tuned-in and ready for the action !
