OF the 25 players in Oldham’s squad, all but one are already sponsored for the season — and the sense of togetherness is reflected in the way SIX fans have joined forces to put their weight behind the Roughyeds’ new club captain, Martyn Ridyard.
Their collective sponsorship name is ‘Sheddings 107’, but there are some familiar faces in this shirt presentation picture, namely (left to right) Mark, Dave, Martyn Ridyard, Julie, Ricky. Not in the picture are the other two fans who contributed to the ‘Sheddings 107’ sponsorship, namely Gerry and Kev.
The only player not sponsored so far is experienced hooker Ryan Wright, but we feel confident that he’ll soon have his backers on board too, thus giving us a clean sweep throughout the squad.
The most sincere thanks go out from Chris, John and the club at large to all those fans, companies and other organisations who have got behind the lads for sponsorship purposes and in so doing have underlined their allegiance to the club as well.

Ryan is a 30-year-old hooker who readily admits he’s been round the block in a long career with Dewsbury, Doncaster, Hunslet and Keighley.
He works at Leeds Beckett University as team support on physical education and other sports courses and, as such, is particularly interested in helping to bring on the young players in the squad.
He says he is excited by the new challenge at Oldham and was sold on coming here by the way chairman Chris Hamilton and coach Stuart Littler outlined the club’s plans for moving forward.
