It’s here at last; the start we’ve all been waiting for — the START of the 2022 season.
Well, to be precise that’s not until Wakefield Trinity come to the Vestacare Stadium on Saturday night for a friendly (6pm kick off), but by stretching the imagination a little bit we can claim it all kicks off tonight with our season’s launch at the Oldham Event Centre, Boundary Park, starting at 8pm once the lads have finished training.
Most of the players we’ve got under contract are new to the club so tonight will be an ideal opportunity for you to get to know the blokes who will be representing the club with pride over the next few months.
They’ll be given their squad numbers tonight and YOU can be there to witness the ceremony.
Admission is FREE; we just want as many fans there as we can get. More to the point, so do the lads who will be wearing our famous colours with pride. They would love nothing more than to see a full house at the Event Centre.
Access is via Broadway and there is plenty of FREE parking – every reason for fans to interpret tonight as the start of the season and to be there to meet and greet Chris and John, Stu and Brendan and all the players.
TOM GRIERSON, the 18-year-old second-row forward we signed from Yorkshire (used to be a top swimmer) has asked to be released from his contract because of work commitments.
