A reminder that our 2022 Betfred League One season starts on Sunday, March 27 with the visit of well-fancied Keighley Cougars to the Vestacare Stadium.
Back in the borough after two seasons on the road in Stalybridge, it’s a new beginning for the revamped Roughyeds, who will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary season with a new member of senior management in vice-chairman John Roddy, a new head coach in Stu Littler, lots of new players and a brand-new supporters group, appropriately called YEDS and already making a big impact.
Vice-chair John comes with years of experience in rugby league management, having served both Leigh Centurions and Swinton Lions as chairman, and as a businessman of national repute in his capacity as executive chairman and top man at our club’s chief sponsors, CDX Security, based in both Warrington and London.
Head coach Littler is a time-served former Super League star who is steeped in the traditions of the game we love and who will hit the international stage later this year when he coaches Ireland in the World Cup.
Please note that season tickets can still be bought online at the prices we announced in early January but only until 5pm this Thursday, March 17.
That’s the cut-off point. While lots of fans will already have bought their season tickets, experience over the years tells us there are bound to be stragglers, so for them NOW is the time to act and certainly before this Thursday’s (March 17) 5pm watershed.
You’ll remember its FREE for under-16s standing — how’s that for a bargain? — and other season-ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults: £144 (seats), £135 (standing).
- Concessions: £126 (seats), £117 (standing)
- Students: £40 (seats), £30 (standing)
- Under-16s: £20 (seats). FREE (standing)
In these most difficult of financial times we can’t stress too much the importance of good season-ticket sales.
Please remember these prices cover ten home league games against Swinton Lions, Rochdale Hornets, Keighley Cougars, Midlands Huricanes, North Wales Crusaders, Doncaster, Cornwall, Hunslet, London Skolars and Wesr Wales Raiders.
Most of all please remember the cut off — 5pm this Thursday.
