To keep our supporters up to date, Chris Hamilton, our club Chairman and owner of Oldham RLFC, remains in hospital and is receiving ongoing medical tests and treatment.
We are unsure at this time when Chris will be released and when he will be fully fit to resume his duties.
Vice-chairman John Roddy said:
“Everybody at the club, and our fantastic supporters, send best wishes to Chris for a speedy recovery. We have been inundated with kind and supportive ‘Get Well’ messages from the Rugby League family which have been great to read and to pass on to Chris.
“They have certainly provided Chris, who has been Chairman of Oldham RLFC for 25 years, with a great boost and have certainly lifted his spirits.
“Chris has asked me to take care of things at the club until he returns and certainly for the opening fixture, Oldham v Keighley Cougars on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
“We have in place a very capable volunteer Matchday Operation team, which is meeting this week to prepare for our first fixture.
“Stuart Littler and his coaching team and full squad remain focused on full preparation for this first game.
“We want to get this right for Chris and we will do our very best to ensure that the fixture is successful for the whole of the club.”
