ROUGHYEDS have announced the completion of an agreement with Wakefield Trinity which brings young back-row forward Dane Windrow to Oldham, initially on a two-week loan.
The 19-year-old, who is full time at Trinity and a member of the Super League club’s first-team squad, has already had his first training session with Stuart Littler’s men.
Said club chairman Chris Hamilton:
“We have a good relationship with Wakefield, who are keen for Dane to get some game time.
“He’s a big, handy lad who was injured in pre-season, but he is fully fit now and he is ready and raring to go.”
News of the Windrow capture came within hours of the announcement that the loan periods of Wigan Warriors’ teenage duo of Logan Astley (stand off) and Tom Forber (hooker) had been extended.
They will now be available for selection in the Roughyeds squad to play new club Cornwall RLFC at the Vestacare Stadium on Sunday (3pm kick-off).
