THE congratulations of everyone at Oldham RLFC go out to the three local lads who have been named in a 20-strong under-16s squad to represent England Community Lions in three forthcoming games.
Harrison Dodd (Waterhead Warriors), Marcus Geener (Saddleworth Rangers) and Reece Smethurst (Saddleworth Rangers) have fought their way through a strong selection process. Well done lads!
Selection was made after three regional camps, followed by a trial game at Leigh Miners.
Head coach Tom Wood said:
“Club coaches should be really proud of the talent they produce. Good work is being done all over the country and the community coaches have brought through some great kids.”
England’s youngsters will play Wales under-16s home and away and Scotland away.
