THE Oldham Players’ Association, who had a big presence at the Doncaster game, have passed on the dreadful news that our former prop Ricky Bibey was found dead in a hotel room in Florence, Italy. He was 40.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to all Ricky’s loved ones, family and friends.
He played 21 games for Roughyeds in 2005.

AS the December 31 season-ticket deadline draws ever closer, it is interesting to take a look at what the club has done so far in its firm bid to provide a 2023 squad with a realistic and reasonable chance of achieving promotion to the Betfred Championship and in the belief that supporters can look forward to a successful season of crowd-pleasing, value-for-money entertainment.

FANS are reminded that season-ticket sales at these discounted prices close on December 31. The late withdrawal of West Wales Raiders, though desperately sad, put a spanner in the works in relation to our season-ticket sales, but the club has confirmed that season-ticket holders will NOT be out of pocket because of one home game fewer — nine instead of ten.December 26, 2022
Michael Turner, of the Oldham RFLFC Heritage Trust has provided us with the information that the ‘Murphy, Elliott, Larder’ trio were the first names on the Oldham team sheet for more than ten years.
