IN issuing a massive and very public ’thank-you’ to the relevant people, Roughyeds wish it to be known that John Roddy and CDX Security, Ginny and Adrian Alexander and Yeds OSG have all contributed towards the significant costs of the club’s long trip to the south of Cornwall this weekend.
Roughyeds play Cornwall RLFC in Penryn, near Falmouth on Sunday, 1pm kick-off, and it will require an overnight stay on Saturday. The team will train on Saturday morning and then set off on the long journey south in readiness for the game.
If Stu Littler’s men win and then Hunslet lose at Swinton later in the afternoon, our play-off quest will still be very much ‘on’.
There’s clearly a lot riding on this game and the club is extremely grateful for the financial help towards the expense involved, to John Roddy and CDX Security for covering the coach costs and to Ginny and Adrian Alexander and also to Yeds OSG, who have both contributed to the players’ food costs for the weekend.

“Everybody knows the major outlay involved with this weekend’s match and so we are extremely grateful for John, once again, via CDX, for helping the club by sponsoring the cost of the coach travel down to Cornwall. An overnight stay significantly increases expenditure.
“We also want to publicly thank Jamie Hollingworth and YEDS OSG and our club Ambassador, Adrian Alexander, and his wife, ex-Mayor, Ginny Alexander, who have made contributions towards the players food costs for the weekend.
“This is another example of people pulling together to get behind the club and we will be doing our utmost to reward that with a win at the weekend.
