ENGLAND will almost certainly face PNG in the Rugby League World Cup quarter-finals at Wigan on Saturday.
PNG play Wales at Doncaster tonight (Mon) and providing the Kumuls do not lose by more than 22 points they will go through to face Shaun Wane’s England at the DW Stadium on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
The other three quarter-final ties are finalised as follows:
FRIDAY (Nov 4): Australia v Lebanon at the John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield, kick-off 7.30pm.
SATURDAY (Nov 5): New Zealand v Fiji at the MKM Stzdium, Hull, kick-off 7.30pm.
SUNDAY (Nov 6): Tonga v Samoa at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, kick-off 2.30pm.
The semi-finals will be played on November 11 and 12 with Australia or Lebanon facing New Zealand or Fiji in the first semi and England or TBC playing Tonga or Samoa in the second semi.
