Order by Dec 2 to get a limited-edition shirt for Christmas

ROUGHYEDS can today unveil a limited-edition commemorative shirt, as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations. Combined with tonight’s gala dinner at the Oldham Event Centre, this is a huge day for the club in terms of looking back over the quarter of a century since Oldham RLFC was formed and kicked off with a Law Cup win at Rochdale.

The shirt, which features traditional red and white hoops, is made by our kit partners Ellgren and is a nod to our first-ever home kit in our first season as a new club in 1998.

The design features the Ellen Group triangle on the front — they were our first main sponsors — together with the RFL logo from that year.

Priced at £45 for adults and £40 for children, the shirt is an ideal Christmas present for Yeds fans.

Orders have to be in by 3pm Friday, December 2 in order for them to arrive for Christmas so act fast if you don’t want to miss out!

Everybody who buys a shirt can have their name sublimated into the jersey at no extra cost — another feature that sets this shirt aside as one to treasure.

Sizes start from small to 7XL for men, with women’s sizes ranging from 6-22 (that’s 6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22). This is the first time we’ve had specific women’s sizes from Ellgren.

Children’s start at K4 and go K6, K8, K10, K12, K14, K16.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show your support for the club and see it for ever.

To order, visit the club’s shop online. Please ensure that you complete the order notes at the bottom of the form, detailing the name you want on the shirt.

For the record, Oldham won their opening game at Spotland 36-16 and lined up like this:

Aidie Meade; Chris Eckersley, Steve Wilde, Sean Cooper, Joe McNicholas; Craig Barker, Neil Flanagan (capt); Danny Guest, John Hough, Martin Maders, Brian Quinlan, Mick Prescott, Emmerson Jackman. Subs: Darren Robinson, Paul Round, Afi Leulia, Craig Diggle

McNicholas scored two of Oldham’s five tries and Quinlan kicked six goals.

The first two games at Boundary Park against Heworth in the Challenge Cup and Bramley in the league attracted crowds of 2,943 and 2,921.
