Derek Foy’s funeral will be a Requiem Mass at St Edward’s, Lees on Friday, December 9 at 10.30am.
Derek, in his younger days, was a huge figure on the Oldham rugby league scene. He will be sorely missed.
The condolences of everyone at Oldham RLFC go to the Foy family at this sad time and especially to his sons, Martin and Des, both of whom played for their home-town club.
Martin spent most of his career at Wigan, but Des became a household name at Oldham where he won international acclaim as a Great Britain tourist down under in 1984.
