CONCESSIONARY prices have been reintroduced by Oldham Rugby League Club’s new board.
Starting on Friday night for the Rochdale derby, kick off 7.30pm, it will cost only £10 for senior citizens to gain entry to all remaining home games this season.
In line with some other clubs, concessionary admission prices were scrapped for the start of this season, but they were reintroduced by Oldham at a board meeting when the new directors considered match-day pricing across the board.
Turnstile admission prices for the remainder of this season are as follows:
Adults standing £16; adults sitting £17.
Concessions standing £10; concessions sitting £11.
Students (with ID) standing £5; students (with ID) sitting £6.
Under-16s standing: FREE, Under-16s sitting £3
Director Simon Winnard said:
“It’s been a whirlwind few days since we took over the running of the club. However, our spectators are always our No 1 priority and the board has listened to feedback from multiple sources on ticket pricing.
“As a result, we hope that the re-introduction of concessionary ticket prices will encourage all our supporters to come along to games and get behind the team.”
“We have had one home game already and anyone eligible for the new concessionary prices who has already paid the higher price, including those who have bought season tickets, is asked to ring the club on 07904 898177.”
Club officials expect a good crowd to recognise the first home game since the club’s change of ownership, and the visit of their intense derby rivals, and they urge everyone to get there early, especially seat season-ticket holders and others who wish to buy a seat on the night.
THE club will hold its next meeting with Partners — such as the Oldham Amateur League, Rugby Oldham, the Oldham RL Heritage Trust, the Players’ Association and the YEDS Supporters’ Group — as usual and as previously announced at 12.30pm next Tuesday at the Oldham Event Centre, Boundary Park.
