ROUGHYEDS are boosted by the additions of Harvey Makin, Kieran Tyrer and Harvey Wilson who all return to the club on dual-registration, as head coach Stuart Littler announces his 21-man squad.
The trio, from Wigan Warriors, have put in impressive displays for the club this season, and are in contention to feature in Sunday’s clash against Cornwall at the Vestacare Stadium, 1pm kick off.
Tyrer and Makin have both scored a try for the club in their first stints at Oldham and Wilson proved a key player in the victory over Rochdale Hornets.
Littler will be without experienced campaigners Jack Blagbrough and Martyn Ridyard, though, who have both been struggling with injuries.
Club captain Ridyard picked up a knock in last month’s game against Doncaster and will sit out Sunday’s game, as a result.
Blagbrough rolled his ankle in the closing stages of an opposed session the club had against Salford last weekend, which added to the knock he picked up in the Doncaster game.
Said Stuart Littler, ahead of the game:
“Moving into this season-determining spell, we need to get some momentum.
“We’ve got some big games around the corner and we are not getting ahead of ourselves.
“We need a performance against an improved Cornwall to build into these games that we’ve got coming up.
“They’ve got some good players and pose a threat, and we’re looking forward to the challenge on Sunday.”
Tickets for Sunday’s game at the Vestacare Stadium against Cornwall, 1pm kick off, are priced at £16 for adults, £10 for concessions (65 and over), £5 for students and FREE for under 16s.
