Squad for Workington game announced

NEW signing Pat Moran goes straight into Oldham’s 21-man squad for Sunday’s 3rd v 4th clash against Workington Town.

The prop, whose signing was announced last night, arrives at Oldham on a deal lasting until the end of the season.

Making their return to Stuart Littler’s initial squad, ahead of the 3pm kick off at Derwent Park, are: Tommy Brierley, Callum Cameron, Martyn Ridyard and Jack Blagbrough.

Winger Brierley has been out of action since he suffered a fractured leg and ruptured ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) on March 27 last year.

He recently featured for Huddersfield Giants Reserves where he scored a try and, after progressing well since his injury, is now back in first team contention.

Second-rower Cameron is back in the squad after serving the eight match ban he incurred in last year’s play-off loss against Rochdale.

Blagbrough and Ridyard return after they both sat out last Sunday’s 36-16 victory over Cornwall due to knocks.

Head coach Littler retains the services of Harvey Wilson on dual-registration from Wigan Warriors, but will be without Harvey Makin and Kieran Tyrer who featured last week.

Roughyeds will also be without Connor Carr who is following the RFL’s return to play protocols after failing a head test.

Tickets for Sunday’s clash against Workington are priced at £13 for adults, £10 for concessions and free for under-16s.

You can purchase them on the Workington Town ticketing page.

Squad in full: Ah Van, Baker, Blagbrough, Brierley, Cameron, Hartley, Hirst, McNally, Meadows, Moran, K. Morgan, Newton, Nelmes, Paga, Ridyard, Slater, Thornton, Whittel, Wilkinson, Wilson, Yarrow.
