The RFL has reported on its website this evening that Oldham half-back Jordan Paga, our second highest Betfred League One try scorer this season with nine, has been banned for four matches and fined £75 after pleading guilty to a grade E charge of ‘making unnecessary contact with a player who is, or may be, injured’.
It happened during Oldham’s 22-28 defeat by Doncaster on Sunday, June 18.
Paga, who has been in consistently good form all season and currently sits in joint fifth place in the list of League One try scorers — Pat Ah Van is third with 13 — will miss league games, the RFL says, against Workington Town this Sunday, North Wales Crusaders, Hunslet and Cornwall.
He will be free to make his comeback in the key local derby against Rochdale Hornets at the Crown Oil Arena on Sunday, August 20.
