Roary out and about

Dave Murgatroyd, his son Nathan and the team behind Roary, our popular club mascot, are going to have a meeting with the club directors about Roary’s Pride Kids Club — and the sort of role it can best play — next season,

In the meantime, it doesn’t mean Roary has gone back to his lions’ den in Africa just because it’s our close season and he can have a rest. With no games right now , that’s all the more reason why Roary needs to get out and about in Oldham to promote the club and fly the flag for the Roughyeds.

He was recently in Spindles at a Lego Fun Day (pictured) and from time to time you’ll see him around town at various functions. If you are a Roughyeds fan, please introduce yourself and shake him by the hand. He can’t speak to you but he’s used to saying ‘hello’ in his own inimitable way and he would love the interaction!
