21-man squad vs Halifax named

ROUGHYEDS boss Sean Long has named his first 21-man squad for this Sunday’s 1895 Cup game against Halifax Panthers at Boundary Park, 3pm kick off.

Josh Johnson, who did not feature in the club’s 46-10 victory over Keighley on Boxing Day is included as is Jamie Ellis.

Ellis, who missed the game at Cougar Park due to a back issue, is now back fit.

Mo Agoro is named in the squad and could make his 200th club appearance this weekend, if selected.

Brad Gallagher, George Hirst, Jumah Sambou, Mackenzie Turner, Emmerson Whittel are all unavailable for selection and thus miss out.

Gallagher will be out for four months after he tore his labrum in one of his first training sessions with the club.

Sambou is recovering from an ACL injury while Mackenzie Turner is nursing a hamstring injury sustained in the Keighley game.

Tickets are available for Sunday’s game and are priced at £20 for adults, £14 for concessions and FREE for under-16s.

Pay on the day is available at the cash-only turnstiles.

The fan bar, located under the Joe Royle Stand will be open from 12:30pm with food and drink as well as live music.

Local band, The Boundaries, will be playing in the fan bar before and after the game.
