ROUGHYEDS face another big test this Sunday as London Broncos visit Boundary Park, 3pm kick off.
After upsetting the odds by defeating 1895 Cup holders Halifax last weekend, Sean Long’s men will be looking to build on their momentum.
Broncos, promoted to Super League after a shock 18-14 victory against Toulouse Olympique, have had a mixed bag of results so far in pre-season.
Fresh from a 50-16 loss to Huddersfield Giants, Broncos will be looking for retribution when they make the long trip up north.
Elijah Taylor – who turned down an offer to play for London this year – said:
“It’s another opportunity for us to put a landmark down, as well as a chance for some of our young players – who haven’t played for a while – to get some game time.
“We’re looking to win to build our momentum and it’ll be a tough game.
“They’re a Super League team but I know we’ve got the squad here to get into battle with them, so I’m looking forward to it.”
London, coached by Mike Eccles, have re-signed several of their promotion-winning squad such as Dean Parata, Alex Walker, Oli Leyland and Jarred Bassett.
They have also strengthened having brought in Sadiq Adebiyi – who spent time on loan at Oldham in 2017 – as well as Gideon Boafo, James Meadows and Josh Rourke.
With the Broncos’ Super League season starting against Catalans Dragons just a few weeks later, they will be looking to hit the peak of their fitness in the Boundary Park clash.
Fans are reminded that this weekend’s game is all-ticket, with tickets priced at £16 for adults, £12 for concessions and FREE for under-16s.
Pie and peas hospitality, which includes pre and post-match presentations, is available at £28 for adults, £24 for concessions and £12 for under-16s.
Hospitality, which has to be pre-booked, is located in the Broadway Suite and can be purchased as an add-on when purchasing a match ticket.
Pay on the day is available but the club would like to remind fans the turnstiles are cash only.
