Chairman Bill Quinn has issued an update to fans ahead of our first competitive fixture of the 2024 season.
Hi everyone, I hope all our great fans are well and ready for the most exciting season for many years.
We’ve got our first game on Sunday. What a start, Halifax, a very difficult game but a very exciting one. Our guys have trained really hard and are looking forward to getting some game time.
Most of all, they need your backing and to hear as many as possible cheering them on to victory would be fantastic.
We’re really bringing your game day to another level this season, you can still pay on the day.
Season tickets are still available until 12 noon today and can be bought at our online shop.
FANS BAR
We will be having a local band from the Oldham music scene from 1.15-2.45pm, The Boundaries, so get on down and enjoy. They will also carry on after the game and we will be adding more events on a gameday throughout the season to give everyone a good game day experience.
CLUB SHOP
This will be parked outside near the fans bar and we will have some players in there with hopefully different ones for the various games throughout the season to get your shirts signed and have a chat.
BROADWAY SUITE
Braddy (Mick Bradshaw) will be compering and myself and others will be available for any questions.
We do have some sad news in the passing of our former roughyed Colin Hawkyard.
Colin played nearly two hundred games for us and was a great servant of the club.
From all at Oldham 1876 we pass on our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
We will be having a minutes silence before the game to show our respects
Well that’s all for now, I do hope to see the whole of Oldham out supporting a great game and a great day.
As we say at Oldham,
Stronger together.
We will march to glory together, side by side. The revolution has begun here in Oldham.
Your chairman,
Bill Quinn
