Women back at Netpar to take on York

After a number of weeks off, Roughyeds Women return to Netpar Training Centre to take on York Acorn in Northern League 3 (2pm kick-off).

Ben Marsden’s side are currently second in the division, and a win would see them move level on points with Bronte Barbarians at the top of the table.

With the season approaching its conclusion, Roughyeds Women will be battling it out with Bronte for top spot, with the Yorkshire side still to face Crosfields, Keighley and York.

Oldham will be hoping to secure victories over York, Crosfields and Wigan St Pats, while also hoping the Barbarians slip up, with the two sides currently separated by just two points.

In the previous fixture between the two sides, Oldham were clear winners over Acorn, securing a 32-4 away victory, and they will head into Sunday’s clash as favourites.

Ben Marsden has named another strong Roughyeds side, with experienced forward Katie Stephens returning. The squad is similar to the one that produced a big win over Keighley last time out.
