Roughyeds backed up promotion from League 1 as champions with a top-four finish in the Betfred Championship in another year of huge growth on and off the field.

Player of the Year honours went to Josh Drinkwater, Adam Milner and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga'e at the glittering awards night, but who scored the Roughyeds Try of the Year?

Kieran Dixon scampered clear in January to score the first of many memorable tries for the winger this year.

February's thumping home win over York saw another stunner from Dixon as he finished off a powerful Jumah Sambou break.

That devastating left-edge partnership did the damage again in March as Sambou took the honours.

Bailey Aldridge was on hand to finish a length-of-the field break from PLT and Adam Lawton in April, with May's top try going to Milner against Feathersone.

Summer sizzlers came from Ted Chapelhow with a long-range effort in June and Ben O'Keefe with a fine dummy and finish in July, before PLT's lighting break from Milner's pass allowed Drinkwater the top try in August.
