Connolly driving positive change at Netpar Training Centre

Key Roughyeds partner Connolly Ltd has been praised for its leading role in driving forward the transformation of Oldham's Netpar Training Centre into a state-of-the-art community hub.

The Wigan-based firm has provided over 2,000 hours of development and volunteering time plus a further 500 hours from its locally-based supply chain and other key stakeholders in planning and delivering a project that has so far seen the installation of new floodlights, regeneration and wrapping of the pitch, and the creation of new offices, kitchens and physio rooms for the men's first team, Roughyeds Women and pathway.

The Chadderton base now also regularly plays host to local schools finals, with further exciting plans in place to expand in the near future to include a facility for multi-sports including astro-turf, 5-a-side pitches and tennis courts.

“The immediate impact of this project is clear and it is hard to believe how much the facility has been improved," said Roughyeds managing director Mike Ford.
