Board Update to Our ORLFC Supporters

This morning, the new Board of Directors held its first official board meeting as we begin an exciting new chapter for our club.

It was a productive and positive meeting, with detailed discussions covering both the club’s current position and our strategy for the future.

The agenda included:

• The current state of the club
• The financial position
• Legal matters
• Rugby operations
• Year-end forecast
• Short-term priorities for the next four months
• The club's longer-term vision
• Directors’ individual roles and areas of focus

We were also delighted to receive a comprehensive presentation from Darren Royle, CEO of Oldham Athletic, and his team on the SportTown project, which is currently in Phase 2 of delivery. The new Board is now working closely with Darren and his team as we strengthen our relationship and collaboration with Oldham Athletic, ensuring both clubs are aligned in creating the very best future for sport in Oldham.

The meeting was positive, constructive, and focused on laying solid foundations for the future. There is a huge amount of work ahead, but there is also a shared commitment, energy, and determination around the table to move ORLFC forward.
