Oldham have brought in young prop Noah High on loan from Wakefield Trinity until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old bolsters the Roughyeds’ forward options following the departure of Lazarus Vaalepu, whose short-term loan spell has now come to an end.
High’s loan does not include a recall clause, meaning he will remain with Oldham for the final two regular-season fixtures and throughout the knockout rounds.
The Warrington Wolves academy graduate made his professional debut in 2024 and has since made 24 Championship appearances across spells with Whitehaven and Batley Bulldogs.
High joined Wakefield Trinity at the start of the 2025 season but is yet to make a senior appearance for the West Yorkshire club.
“I will bring physicality,” said the young forward.
I work hard and do the tough stuff. I have quite a lot of experience at this level having played at Batley last season.
I can’t wait and I am looking forward to ripping in – I will hopefully play at the weekend, put my best foot forward and have a good run into the play-offs.”
Roughyeds boss Alan Kilshaw said:
"I am delighted to bring Noah in.
I’m looking forward to seeing him in an Oldham shirt, he will give us some depth and variation leading into the play-offs.
We’re in a good place, but we just wanted to safeguard against any injuries."
Noah High is sponsored by Rugby Oldham.
