Women aim for Challenge Plate Final place

Roughyeds Women have a chance to secure their spot in the Challenge Plate Final this Sunday when they take on Bradford Bulls at Odsal Stadium (1pm kick-off).

Oldham are fresh from toppling league leaders Bronte Barbarians, but face a tough challenge against Championship side Bradford.

The Bulls have won one in six in the second-tier, with them securing their spot in the semi-finals by defeating Halifax Panthers, currently top of Northern League 2, 26-24.

Roughyeds go into the game with a number of experienced players added into Ben Marsden's side.

Amie Walker, Max Barker and Natalie Carr are in contention to make their Roughyeds debuts having joined on short-term loan deals from GB Police.

Of the signings, Marsden said:

Their additions provide depth, leadership and a winning mentality both on and off the pitch.
