Women head to York Acorn this Sunday

Roughyeds Women are on the road this weekend where they take on York Acorn in Northern League 3 at Acorn Rugby Club. (2pm KO). 

Oldham are looking to bounce back from the 40-20 defeat to Bronte Barbarians last week, and face an Acorn side which is looking for back-to-back victories.

York lost their first game of the campaign to Bronte but have since defeated Keighley 22-6.

Ben Marsden's side are bolstered by the returns of captain Laura Thorley as well as Ellie Amstrong. Rachael Brierley is also included and set to make her debut.

Roosie Moorcroft – who starred at full-back last week and scored a try – misses the trip to North Yorkshire having suffered a head injury.
