Joining Oldham's coaching staff after retiring as a player at the end of the 2024 season, Wardle was a hard-nosed competitor on the field who is now keen to succeed as a coach.
His playing career brought great success in Super League, having scored 76 top-flight tries in over 200 appearances for Huddersfield, Castleford and Bradford.
As well as working as Sean Long's assistant, Wardle will help guide Oldham's pathway sides.
