Roughyeds launch 'Road to Glory' chance for fans

Oldham are delighted to offer supporters an unmissable chance to snap up discounted “Super 7” season tickets for a thrilling run to clinch promotion to the Betfred Championship as champions of League 1.

Sean Long’s side have fast become The Great Entertainers at Boundary Park with their 100% run in the domestic campaign, and the Roughyeds now want every fan to be part of the Road to Glory by grabbing a ringside seat.

“We feel that if we carry on what we are doing this year we will maintain this rich vein of form and the crowd will get behind us, grow to over 2000 and roar us on to promotion to the Championship,” said managing director Mike Ford.

“This rugby town has a rich history of producing world-class players and we have some very special players in the Oldham jersey right now. We feel so proud of the speed of progress we have made and the exciting thing now is where we can go. Let’s make this club great again and get bums on seats to be part of this exciting journey.”

The electric talent of youngsters Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e and Cian Tyrer has thrilled fans so far this year, alongside Mo Agoro’s length of the field tries and the Super League stardust of former internationals Elijah Taylor and captain Jordan Turner.

But the Oldham matchday experience has become known for so much more, with the day starting with live music from local band The Boundaries in a vibrant fan bar, where supporters young and old can meet the players before every match for photos and signings, and of course the chance to meet popular mascot Roary. The action on the field opens with curtain-raisers from Oldham’s community clubs, mixed with live performances from local dance talent and the very best music being played in an iconic venue.

“Everyone wants to see a winning team and you can see that things are gelling,” added chairman Bill Quinn, who oversaw the takeover to bring Oldham into a new era just over a year ago.

“But we are trying to offer more than just turning up to watch a game of rugby. The matchday experience is being enhanced every week at Boundary Park and we can’t wait for all of our fanbase to be part of it.”

Adult tickets for the remaining seven matchdays at Boundary Park allow fans to secure their place for games against Hunslet, North Wales, Keighley, Midlands, Newcastle, Cornwall and Workington, and are now priced at the discount rate of just £115, with the concession rate of only £82 for student and over 65s, and kids coming along for free!
