Good day to all Roughyeds and everyone connected with ORLFC.
I’m writing with an update regarding tomorrow’s match vs Midlands Hurricanes, taking place at Boundary Park (7:45pm kick-off).
Firstly, we are indebted to OAFC and all the staff at the club for finding a way to host our fixture tomorrow night, while also running an event in the FSW Bar 1895. We are extremely grateful for their help. Operationally, however, this will involve some changes that differ from normal matchday operations at Boundary Park.
As you know, the match is an 1895 Cup fixture, and revenues are shared with the visiting club. Both clubs agreed, some weeks ago, to set admission prices at £10 for adults. We all know that we face Midlands on consecutive Fridays at Boundary Park, and we ask that you all get behind this game and encourage new supporters to come along and witness the excitement being delivered by Alan Kilshaw and the team as we push for a ninth consecutive victory. Let’s create the atmosphere the team deserve.
Tickets
We encourage all supporters to purchase tickets online in advance, as it really does help. On matchday, three turnstiles will be open for either pre-purchased tickets or card payment only — no cash payments can be taken at the turnstiles.
A cash payment desk will be located in the Main Stand on the Furtherwood Road side of the ground, as we will not have access to the 1895 Bar on the night.
Turnstiles and the Broadway Suite Bar will open at 5:30pm.
Bar and Hospitality
Due to another pre-booked event taking place, the FSW Bar 1895 will be closed to ORLFC supporters. However, we will be using the Broadway Suite inside the Joe Royle Stand as a fans’ bar.
The bar can accommodate over 150 people, and access will be gained directly through the doors at the top of the stand once entry has been gained via the turnstiles. The bar is open to all supporters, and we will have both pre-match and post-match player interviews taking place there. Wheelchair-bound supporters will be able to use the reception lift for entry to the Broadway Suite.
Please note that there will be no hospitality or food available inside the Broadway Suite on the night. However, a kiosk in the stand will be open selling drinks.
Post-match exit will also be via the stairs in the stand so as not to conflict with the other event taking place.
Please let’s fill the Broadway and enjoy the evening together.
Car Parking
With the exception of disabled parking, the main car park off Broadway will be closed to the public due to a funfair taking place there.
OAFC have organised for the NHS car park, with a capacity of 400 cars, to be opened for our match. Please see the map below for details.

Thank you to all Roughyeds supporters for getting behind this match. Every pound at ORLFC counts.
Thank you also to the many people who have purchased 150th anniversary tickets this week. We encourage as many of you as possible to continue supporting these events, as well as the upcoming golf day.
Within the next 24 hours, we will also be advertising full hospitality packages for next Friday’s match at Boundary Park on Friday 22nd.
Please enjoy the game, support your club, and purchase your ticket now!
