Cas friendly off

We are disappointed to announce that Saturday's pre-season friendly at Castleford has been cancelled because of a frozen pitch at the OneBore Stadium.

With pitch temperatures currently at -4 and not predicted to rise enough to thaw the playing surface between now and Saturday, the decision has been taken now that the match will not be able to go ahead.

All tickets already purchased will be refunded and we once again appreciate the understanding of our fans, especially those who were looking forward to watch via the live stream in Benidorm.

We hope to see as many Roughyeds as possible in Salford next Friday as we kick off the 2026 Betfred Championship campaign.
