We can confirm that Elijah Taylor will leave Oldham at the end of the season, to return home to his family.

The 35-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding career so far, with nine seasons at the top in Australia's NRL with New Zealand Warriors, Penrith Panthers and Wests Tigers.

He moved to Super League with Salford Red Devils, before leading Featherstone Rovers to the top of Championship in 2023 prior to his move to Oldham.

A popular and ever-reliable star of the Roughyeds team, Taylor has excelled in his two seasons at Boundary Park and will leave with the best wishes of everyone at the club.

Head coach Sean Long said:

"Elijah has been outstanding and a dream to work with both at Oldham and Featherstone. We will miss him but I know his family can't wait to have him back home."

Chairman Bill Quinn added:

"Elijah has been a huge part of our journey so far and we all wish him the very best for the future.

To bring the good times back to Oldham we needed to assemble a strong group of leaders and Elijah has been a central part of that from the moment he arrived here."
