Oldham scoop prestigious Business of the Year honour

Oldham RLFC 1876 celebrated another impressive moment in the club's renaissance under Bill Quinn and Mike Ford on Friday evening, winning the prestigious Business of the Year award at the glittering 2025 Oldham Business Awards.
Roughyeds were shortlisted in the £1-5 million turnover category, where finalists were required to demonstrate outstanding business leadership and a successful performance against its objectives.
Oldham secured the award ahead of fellow finalists Pacific Financial Solutions Ltd and Fit4Sport Ltd, with Quinn and Ford accepting the prize on stage at the Queen Elizabeth Hall along with backroom staff including Head of Operations and Commercial David Bottomley, Head of Media and Communications George Riley, and Chris Chamberlain, chief executive of the ORLFC Foundation.
In just two and a half years under the guidance of Quinn and Ford Roughyeds have won the League 1 title and finished in the top four of the Championship after winning promotion.
The club has already submitted its business plan and application for a place in an expanded 2026 Betfred Super League, with clubs awaiting the outcome on October 16th.
