Warrington duo bolster Roughyeds roster

Oldham are delighted to announce the signing of Ben Hartill and Jake Thewlis on one-month loan deals from Warrington Wolves.

The duo are in contention to make their Roughyeds debuts this weekend.

Hooker Hartill marked his first appearance for Warrington this season with a try and has previously featured in the Championship for Swinton, Widnes, North Wales Crusaders and Workington.

Winger Thewlis, Oldham-born and a former Waterhead amateur, arrives with an impressive record of 17 tries in 21 first-team appearances for the Wolves.

Head coach Alan Kilshaw said:

"We're delighted to bring both players into the squad and we are hopeful we can extend them after the initial month period.

We have been short on numbers, and both will add depth to our squad.

Ben is a every good 9 and will give us another option in that role, which is something we have missed since losing Cole and Riley.

Jake can play a number of positions in the back-line, which is invaluable to us at this stage of the season.

He is an Oldham lad and a former Waterhead junior.

We are again grateful to Warrington Wolves for their assistance in getting the deals done."
