Women head to Cougar Park

Roughyeds Women travel to Cougar Park this Sunday looking to maintain their share of top spot in Northern League 3 as they take on Keighley Cougars (11am kick-off).

Ben Marsden's side returned to winning ways last week with a 22-10 victory over Crosfields and will be looking for another against Keighley.

In pre-season, Oldham held a commanding 58-0 lead before their fixture against the Cougars was abandoned following a number of injuries to the Keighley team.

This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides after Oldham were awarded an automatic 48-0 victory in the previous match-up, with Keighley unable to field a team.

Ben Marsden has named another strong Roughyeds side, with another ex-Rochdale player, Izzie Critchley, making her debut on the wing.

With Kadie Ashworth back, she returns at hooker with Molly Udale-Williams back in the halves.

Having sustained an injury, Katie Stephens drops out of the side, with Megan Farnhill partnering Udale-Williams in the halves.
