High here to stay

26/10/2026

Noah High will remain a Roughyed in 2027 after signing a one-year deal with the club.

The former Wakefield prop joined the club in August on a loan deal and has now had his move to Oldham made permanent.

High made his Roughyeds debut in the win over Salford and made four appearances at the back end of the campaign.

“I’m chuffed to be signing,” he said.

It’s really exciting to be part of a strong squad which we’re building for next season and hopefully we can build on what we did in 2026.

Having worked with Alan and the coaches last season, I think this move is the best thing for my development and I can’t wait to get stuck in and wear the Oldham shirt for a full season.”

A Warrington Wolves academy graduate, the 21-year-old has made 28 appearances at Championship level with time spent on loan at Batley and Whitehaven, as well as Oldham.

Noah has spent the past two seasons at Wakefield, with him regularly featuring in their reserves side when not gaining first team experience on loan.

Oldham boss Alan Kilshaw said:

“Noah is physical, carries the ball strongly and isn’t afraid of the tough work that comes with playing in the middle.

Having already spent time with us, he knows the environment, the standards we expect and how we want to play, which I think will really benefit him going into a full preseason.

He’s another young player who is hungry to improve, and we believe he has plenty of development left in him.

I’m looking forward to working with Noah again and seeing him continue to progress in an Oldham.”

Noah is available to sponsor for the 2027 season, contact lisa.lord@roughyeds.co.uk for more information.
