Oldham return to Boundary Park this Sunday for the first time in seven weeks as they take on Halifax Panthers, looking to continue their magnificent run of form.
Roughyeds are currently on a 13-match league winning streak — the club's fourth-longest run of consecutive league victories in its 150-year history.
Alan Kilshaw's side are enjoying a level of form not seen since the 1981/82 season, when head coach Frank Myler and a certain Terry Flanagan, as captain, guided Roughyeds to promotion to Division One on the back of an extraordinary 22-match winning streak.
Fresh in Oldham's minds will be the 40-4 play-off hammering inflicted by the Panthers the last time these two sides met.
However, the Roughyeds claimed a 28-12 victory at The Shay earlier in the campaign and will be aiming to complete the league double.
Team News
Oldham are a few bodies light, with the narrow win over Batley last Friday night coming at a cost.
Speaking in his pre-game preview, which you can watch here, Alan Kilshaw admitted Iain Thornley's season could be over, if initial fears on his injury are to be confirmed.
Roughyeds were also hoping that Jaron Purcell would be back available, but the Australian prop has suffered a setback and remains sidelined.
Returning to the squad is prop Tom McKinney, who has rejoined the club on loan until the end of the season, with Warrington retaining the option to recall him.
McKinney is joined by Warrington Wolves teammate Daniel Regan, a hooker who has featured for the club's reserves and academy sides. Regan is in contention to make his debut this weekend following the recall of Ben Hartill at the conclusion of his loan spell.
Emmanuel Waine, having re-joined Keighley on loan while the forward builds his fitness following a knee injury, also drops out.
Squad in full: 1. Jack Walker, 3. Ben O'Keefe, 4. Ben Davies, 5. Jake Bibby, 6. Morgan Smith, 9. Matty Wildie, 10. Owen Farnworth, 11. Matty Ashurst, 12. Ryan Lannon, 13. Adam Milner, 15. Ted Chapelhow, 16. Ewan Moore, 21. Tom Nisbet, 23. Josh Drinkwater, 26. Brad Day, 27. Bayley Liu, 29. Luke Forber, 00. Tom McKinney, 00. Daniel Regan
The Opposition
Having suffered a 12-point deduction earlier in the season, Halifax Panthers are second bottom in the Betfred Championship.
Without the deduction, Kyle Eastmond's men would be 11th in the table and they come into the game on the back of a narrow win over Swinton.
Winger Ben Tibbs is in good form for Halifax at the moment and is their top try scorer with 14 tries in 17 appearances.
The Panthers side has plenty of Championship and ex-Super League experience with the likes of Ben Crooks, Adam O'Brien, Vila Halafihi, Jacob Fairbank.
