Matty Ashurst

Ashurst arrived as one our big-name signings for the 2025 Championship campaign having captained Wakefield to Super League promotion in 2024. Born in Wigan, Ashurst broke through from the St Helens Academy and went on to star in the Saints' back row, also playing for Salford before his move to Wakefield where he spent a decade, becoming their second-highest appearance maker.
